Brunch at Butcher and the Boar
Butcher and the Boar has reopened in a new location and a new brunch menu. I had the pleasure of going last weekend for brunch and it was nothing short of fantastic.
It’s not often we find a restaurant that can service a party of 5+ and provide both good service and good food, but this restaurant did it effortlessly.
Our server Cassie did a great job of suggesting food and drinks that would work for our group. The General Manager John introduced himself and helped bring out food and made sure our table had everything we needed.
We had a smorgasbord of food and drinks.
The favorite drink was the espresso martini. We all loved it. It had a strong kick, but was smooth.
The favorite foods were chicken and waffles. The chicken was crispy yet juicy. It tasted like there was some type of hot sauce injected with it but it was not overwhelming. The waffles come with bourbon butter. If you are not adventurous I would suggest getting it on the side but it paired well with the syrup and orange crema.
The brioche french toast was soft, but not gooey and had a great flavor.
The classic breakfast was simple yet good. No need for anything special. The crispy potatoes were cooked perfectly.
The breakfast sandwich was also good if you were looking for something small, but satisfying.
We recommend trying this restaurant.
