Only in Minnesota do we try to find ways to stay outdoors in the winter. Igloo dining has gained popularity over the last few years and is available at select restaurants through the end of March including Dukes on 7 in Minnetonka, MN. Most locations including this one require a deposit and a food and beverage minimum for your timed igloo experience. Igloo dining is a fun way to connect with a small group while still enjoying a restaurant vibe.
While there we had the following
TAMALE CAKES
Tomatillo salsa, pico de gallo, cilantro, sour cream, avocado – these were good, but the avocado was not fresh
DUKE’S WINGS
Bone-in, smoked, grilled, tossed in one of our signature sauces. – we opted for the dry rub and they were good with a side of ranch or bbq sauce ELLSWORTH, WI CHEESE CURDS
Served with hot pepper jelly – the jelly was the perfect addition
ROYALE WITH CHEESE
Two patties, American cheese, red onion, house pickles, and basil garlic mayo – not pictured, but this burger was juicy and good
BRISKET GRILLED CHEESE
Smoked brisket, caramelized onions, guava bbq, cheddar cheese, and provolone – this was very similar to the brisket grilled cheese from their partner location The Block SLP. It was cheesy and full of flavor
MINI DONUT NACHOS
Fried mini donuts, cinnamon sugar, whipped cream, fresh berries, chocolate sauce, caramel sauce
Our server, Andy was attentive and knowledgeable. For added fun, we were given a Bluetooth radio to have our music to listen to while there.
The ladies enjoyed the experience a little more than the fellas so I guess we will leave them home next time 😉
